2. Overview

The Minimalism465 app is designed with privacy in mind. There are no user accounts and no central servers storing your personal data. Your challenge data stays on your device.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All challenge data — including your progress, logged items, settings, and name — is stored exclusively on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app.

4. Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to help us improve the app. Only the following anonymized event is collected:

Along with each event, technical device data is transmitted automatically: device type, screen size, app version, and timezone, as well as an anonymous session ID for event grouping. No name, email address, or location data is collected. IP addresses are not stored.

Data is processed on EU-based servers (eu.i.posthog.com). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in product improvement). For more information, see posthog.com/privacy.

5. In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)

In-app purchases are handled via RevenueCat. When you make a purchase, Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) processes your payment information. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID and purchase status to confirm your entitlement. No payment data is processed directly by the app. For more information, see revenuecat.com/privacy.

6. Push Notifications

The app can send optional push notifications to remind you of your daily challenge. Notifications are only enabled with your explicit consent. You can disable them at any time in your device settings. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not involve any external server.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties beyond those described in this policy. Data may be disclosed if required by law.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Since all challenge data is stored locally, you can delete it by uninstalling the app. For any other requests, contact us at minimalism@digital-karma.app.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Germany (Hamburg): datenschutz-hamburg.de.
